I don't like 666 because it's the number of The Devil and The Anti-Christ (The Devil's son) is supposed to be born with a 666 birthmark.

Isn't 333 the number of the devil's son? Maybe I'm thinking of something else though.

The only number i've ever heard of that has anything to do with The Devil or The Anti-Christ is 666.

Marina I think you're thinking of 33 from something else.

I'm not. The 333 is from a more old proverb-like side of things. 666 is what the religions that branched off of Christianity use. And its what most people think of. maybe.

666= mainstream evil number 333= not mainstream evil number? (so maybe a couple of people know..?) I dunno. ---------- 666 is indeed what most Christian branches use. I don't think Pentecost (not sure what kind actually, this is my best guess) Christians believe in this. I think it's 212 for them. The most even (even="good") numbers (2) to the side, and the most odd (odd="evil") number (1) corrupting both in the middle, and it signifies the original sinner (the "devil"/"satan") introducing sin to Adam and Eve. Or at least that's what I've heard of. Anyways, when I asked some Christians (just two actually) about this, they said that it's 666 because on the sixth day "god" created man. (and men=started all sin; if you remember Genesis) And 777 is "god" 's number because on the seventh day, "god" supposedly rested from his earth building-ness. ------- I think it depends on your beliefs. Certain cultures think certain ways. What Marina says is very true. Traditional Japanese/Koreans back then (and a lot still do) thought the number 4 (pronounced san or sa) was an evil number because it sounded like the pronunciation/kanji (?) for death (sann or san). There's a BUNCH of different evil numbers, it's just that 13 and 666 is the most often used in the U.S and Americanized countries.

Alright then everyone has an evil number. Some cultures believe 777 is an evil number.
