I know this is really old news but I just wanted to post it. Did you hear that places are starting to make hypoalergenic cats? How are they doing it? Chemicals? They're priced so high. I would get one because my mom is alergic but wow the are a lot.

Eh, nobody really CARES that they're making something that might benefit the people, they just care about the issue of whether or not they'll make money out of it.

They do it with careful breeding. Research costs a lot and the breeding is probably expensive, hence the price.
